Anthropic Labs has launched a new product called Claude Design, which allows users to collaborate with Claude, their AI assistant, to create visual work such as designs, prototypes, slides, and one-pagers. The tool is powered by Claude Opus 4.7 and is available in research preview for subscribers to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.

Claude Design aims to make it easier for users to create visual work, particularly those without a design background. It allows designers to explore widely and everyone else to produce visual work quickly. Users can describe what they need, and Claude builds a first version. From there, refinement is done through conversation, inline comments, direct edits, or custom sliders.

Teams are already using Claude Design for various purposes, including creating realistic prototypes, product wireframes and mockups, design explorations, pitch decks and presentations, marketing collateral, and frontier design. The tool follows a natural creative flow, allowing users to import from anywhere, refine with fine-grained controls, collaborate, and export designs.

Claude Design is available for subscribers of Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with access included in their plan limits. Extra usage can be enabled beyond those limits by paying extra. For Enterprise organizations, Claude Design is off by default but can be enabled in Organization settings.
