Deezer has revealed that AI-generated tracks now account for 44% of new music uploaded to its platform. The company receives almost 75,000 AI-generated tracks per day and over two million per month.

The consumption of AI-generated music on Deezer is relatively low, making up only 1-3% of total streams. However, a significant portion of these streams - 85% - are detected as fraudulent and demonetized by the company. This highlights a surge in AI-generated music uploads to the platform.

Deezer's figure has increased significantly since it launched its AI-music detection tool in January 2025. In contrast, AI tracks account for only a small percentage of total streams on the platform. The company will no longer store hi-res versions of AI tracks and aims to promote transparency for fans.

A recent survey by Deezer found that 97% of participants couldn't tell the difference between fully AI-generated music and human-made music. Many respondents also expressed concerns about the inclusion of AI-generated music in charts alongside human-made songs, with some calling for clear labeling of AI tracks for listeners.
