Two Navy EA-18G Growler fighter jets collided during an air show at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho on Sunday, but all four crew members safely ejected before the planes crashed to the ground.

The incident occurred while the aircraft were performing an aerial demonstration. The four crew members from both jets were able to escape and are being evaluated by medical personnel. No one on the base was hurt.

Videos posted online show the two jets colliding and then plummeting to the ground, with parachutes opening in the sky as the crew members ejected. One witness described filming the event, thinking the planes would split apart, but instead they collided and spun together before crashing.

The air show, which included performances by the US Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration squadron, was held at Mountain Home Air Force Base for the first time since 2018.
