SaaS

Software as a Service

Definition

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a cloud-based software delivery model where applications are hosted by a provider and licensed to customers on a subscription basis. SaaS eliminates the need for local installation and allows continuous updates and scaling.

📌 Example

Salesforce, Notion, and Linear are all SaaS products — you pay monthly, access them via browser or app, and the vendor handles all infrastructure and updates.
